From Aitken’s Salmon Creek Garden, 1992: NUT RUFFLES (Lankow '92) SOB, E, 12", 4 buds. Great substance, great form, great stem and great plant! Color photo does not do it justice. Rich, intense, chestnut brown with a deep charcoal brown spot. Refined ruffles and domed standards are a plus. This cross was made to produce red SDBs and while this plant is not true red, it has exceptional merit. Pod fertile. (Its sibling is the best red color we have seen on any iris and will be a future introduction!). (Cherry Pop x (Cherry Tart x Cheery Cherry)) #OH-15-1 $10.00. |
