From AIS Bulletin #261 April 1986 Introducing PALE STAR (Bennett C. Jones) SDB, 11", Midseason-Late. Continuing the parade of classically formed descendants of Cotton Blossom, PALE STAR will not disappoint you in that area. Pale blue, just barely blue, the standards are arched and closed, touching at the tips. Wide, round falls are nearly horizontal with ruffling, or crimping, around the edges. A little smaller than Cotton Blossom, PALE STAR is a shy beauty, impeccable in form, abundant in bloom. Sdlg. M322: (Cotton Blossom X M297: ((176 x Meadow Moss) x (Meadow Moss x Kentucky Bluegrass))). $7.50. Contemporary Gardens. |
