1984, Innerst

'Pippi Longstockings' (Sterling Innerst, R. 1984). Seedling# 1588-1. SDB, 12" (30 cm), Early to midseason bloom. full lemon yellow, large burgundy red spot on falls; white beard. Seedling# 1167-2: ('Gentle Smile' x 'Soft Air') X seedling# 1187-3: ('Runaway' x 'Soft Air'). Innerst 1985. Exhibition Certificate 1984; Honorable Mention 1987, Award of Merit 1990.

From AIS Bulletin #257 April 1985 Introducing PIPPI LONGSTOCKINGS (Innerst '85) Sdlg. 1588-1. SDB, 12". Very wide and round flaring, too. Standards are lemon yellow. Falls medium lemon yellow with huge wine-red spot, narrow lemon yellow rim, huge white fuzzy beards. Two branches, 5 buds. Excellent in a clump as well as on the show bench. (Gentle Smile x Soft Air) X (Runaway x Soft Air). EC 1984. $10.00. Sterling Innerst.
