'Plainsong' (Marky Smith, R. 2005) Seedling# 00-07A. SDB, 13" (33 cm). Early midseason bloom. Standards and style arms grayed cantaloupe orange (RHS 163C); style arms pinker midrib; falls distal end and edge grayed cantaloupe orange (163C), center surrounding beard is dark (163B); beards dark blue violet, tipped gray at end, smoked red-orange in throat; ruffled; pronounced musky fragrance. Seedling# 97-14A: ('Spring Fresh' x seedling# 95-07A, 'Quartzlight' sibling) X 'Cachet'. Aitken 2007. Honorable Mention 2009.
