2007, Ransom
'Provocation' (Lawrence Ransom, R. 2006). Seedling 90/247-2. SDB, 9" (23 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards blended red-brown suffused light purple, browner edge; style arms orange brown; falls plum red center spot, intermediate lilac-violet halo, brown edge and hafts; beards blue-white brushed orange in throat, occasional purple horns; slight spicy fragrance. 'Clay's Caper' x Peyrard seedling PB 88/1: ('Planet Iris' x I. pumila). Iris au Trescols 2007.
