'Sapphire Gem' (Hazel Schmelzer, R. 1975). Seedling# 21. SDB, height 14" (36 cm), Early bloom. Sapphire self; white beard. From involved seedlings. Schmelzer 1975. Honorable Mention 1977; Award of Merit 1981; Cook-Douglas Medal 1983.
