Standards heavily stippled violet-blue (RHS 91B) with greenish midrib; style arms violet-blue (91B); falls grayed orange (165B) around beard shading to white ground at end, 1/4" band (91B) tapering to 1/16" at tip; beards grayed orange in throat shading to violet-blue at end; slight fragrance. From AIS Bulletin #334 July 2004 Introducing SARAH BELLA. Sarah Bella is named after a granddaughter who picked it out as my best SDB seedling. Sarah Bella is a muted plicata which grows to 9 1/2" in height. Standards are heavily stippled violet blue with a greenish mid-rib. Falls are grayed orange around the beard, shading to white ground at the tip. Falls have a violet blue band tapering from 1/4" deep in the fall to 1/16" at the tip; beards are greyed orange in throat, shading to violet blue at tip. Parentage is E79-7-1: (Kavan pansy seedling x Queen's Pawn) X Chubby Cheeks. To get this iris distributed, I am offering it for only $10.00. James Ennenga. |
