1993, Miller

'Sea Monster' (Lynda Miller, R. 1992). Seedling# 2287. SDB, height 10" (25 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Standards sky blue; falls olive green, paling at edge; beards baby blue; slight sweet fragrance. Seedling# 3584: ('Lemon Puff' x 'Flirty Mary') X seedling 3684: ('Daisy' x 'Indian Jewel'). Miller's Manor 1993. Honorable Mention 1996.

From AIS Bulletin #289 April 1993 Introducing SEA MONSTER (L. Miller) SDB, 10", E-M. Ruffled and flaring olivegreen, falls with baby blue beards below standards of clear sky blue. Truly the greenest coloring on an iris we have ever seen. 2-3 buds. Sdlg. 2287: 3584: (Lemon Puff x Flirty Mary) X 3684: (Daisy x Indian Jewel). $12.50. Miller's Manor Garden.
