(SDB) 'Statellae'

1856, Todaro

'Statellae' (Augustino Todaro, 1856, collected Sicily). SDB, Early bloom, Color code-W4. The orginal classification was Dwarf bearded. It has been claimed as both an SDB and an MDB and it also was originally thought to be a new species by Todaro but today is usually included as a form of Iris lutescens . See Iris statellae Tod.

From Meadow Mountain Bulb Farm catalog 1931: STATELLAE. Creamy white, almost a self. Sweet scented and very vigorous. 9 to 12 ins. 4 for 50c., 25 for $2.00, 100 for $6.00.
