From AIS Bulletin #257 April 1985 Introducing TARHEEL ELF (Niswonger '85) Sdlg. SOB 5-82: Little Black Belt X Ruby Contrast. SOB, 14" (36 cm), Mid; fertile but short on pollen. It's not particularly the ruffled form of this black that gets your attention but the wide bushy blue beards that make you take a second look. I think you will agree that this is an advance among the black ones. $15.00. Cape Iris.
