■(SIB) 'Blue Brilliant'

1960, Cassebeer

'Blue Brilliant' (Fred Cassebeer, R. 1959). Seedling 723. SIB, 26" (66 cm). Midseason late bloom. Color Class-B3, Standards medium blue, Falls slightly lighter, few haft markings. Parentage unknown. Cassebeer 1960. Honorable Mention 1961; Morgan Award 1967.

From AIS Bulletin #165, April 1962. BLUE BRILLIANT (#723) (1960) each $6.50. The brightest, clearest blue in our entire Siberian collection. It resembles Mountain Lake, but is better in almost every respect. Larger, firm flowers on sturdy stalks with broad, upstanding foliage. Compelling at close range; fine carrying power at a distance. Height 36". H. M. '61. Cassebeer.
