I. bulleyana X sibling. McEwen 1971. Honorable Mention 1975.

From AIS Bulletin #202 July 1971 Introducing BLUE FORTY. 30". M to L. Of usual 40 chromosome form and size but unusual co!or-pale blue (99 B) closely streaked and stippled with darker blue (99 B). Striking effect is enhanced by blaze of violet and yellow. Very floriferous and highly fertile with other 40 chromosome cultivars and species. Fine branching. From seedlings derived from Mrs. Doris Hanford's mauve line from I. bulleyana. $10. Currier McEwen. |
