| Original description from Ensata Gardens website 2022: 'Chasing Fireflies' (Hollingworth, 2022) Siberian iris, 3 falls, 30", 1-2 branches and 5 buds. Appears to be a stable mixture of tetraploid and diploid. Dark purple standards and falls with near black style arms. Moderately ruffled rounded falls have a large eye-catching firefly flash of yellow. In cooler weather or rebloom, flowers may be close to black lit up by the golder center.
