1985, McEwen

'Exuberant Encore' ( Currier McEwen, R. 1985). Seedling T3 79/56. SIB (tet.), 24" (61 cm), Very early to very late bloom and rebloom. Standards medium violet blue (RHS 89C); Falls light violet blue (88B), heavily veined darker (89A), giving overall color effect of 89B, green hafts, gold signal. T1 76/68Z: ( 'My Love' x 'Violet Repeat') X 'Blue Encore'. Seaways Gardens 1985.

From AIS Bulletin #258 July 1985 Introducing EXUBERANT ENCORE - Tetraploid 24" repeater VE-VL. Has set new record with 10 weeks of bloom. Dark violet-blue with darker veins, green hafts, gold signals. Blue Encore X induced (My Love x Violet Repeat). $40.00. Seaways Gardens.
