Award of Garden Merit, 2005 by Royal Horticultural Society described as "A vigorous, spreading plant, foliage lax, green, to 100 cm by 1.5 cm. Flower stems erect and straight to 145 cm, bearing on average 5 well-proportioned, small flowers. Standards cupped and erect, 4.3 cm by 1.8 cm, ovate and lightly wrinkled, white overlaid lightly with a flush of violet 84D, almost translucent in appearance; haft very lightly flushed yellow at outer edges. Falls 5 cm by 3.5 cm, flaring, circular and smooth, white overlaid very lightly with flush of violet 85A, veins of pale violet radiating from the haft, giving an over all impression of very pale violet, off white 84D. Outer edges of haft yellow 12A, fading inwards to pale yellow, almost green midrib, entire haft heavily veined violet to grey. Style branches narrow, close on haft, very pale violet 85D with a raised violet/grey midrib. Crest small, fringed and revolute, very pale violet 85D. Flowering 30 May to 27 June 2005. Diploid. Very floriferous with up to 7 buds and 2 branches per stem, unusual colour, near white, flushed pale violet, flowers well above foliage".
