1991, McEwen

'Lady Lilac' ( Currier McEwen, R. 1990). Seedling T(2)82/123(2). SIB (tet.), 32" (80 cm), Very early to early midseason bloom. Standards and feathered styles forming white cup with 3 large purple spots at bottom; Falls pink lilac (RHS 81D), darker around green signal, lighter at edge, hafts green; ruffled. T(1)76/38B: ( 'Lavender Light' x 'Augury') X T(1)76/38K, sibling. Pope's Perennials, Seaways 1991.

From AIS Bulletin #280 January 1991 Introducing LADY LILAC: T2 82/123(2), Tetraploid, 32", EE-M. The outstanding features of the 4-1/2" flowers are their charming ruffled form and lovely color. The standards and featured styles form a white cup at the bottom of which are 3 large purple spots. The falls are a pleasing pink-lilac (RHS-81D) darker around the signals and lighter at the outer edges. Green hafts. 1 branch and 3 buds. $35. Seaways Gardens/Pope's Perennials.
