1974, McEwen

'Lavender Light' (Currier McEwen, R. 1973) Seedling 66/6. SIB (28 chrom. diploid), 38" (97 cm). Early bloom. Lavender (RHS 76B), with hafts 163D, small white blaze. 'Morning Magic' X 'Fairy Dawn'. McEwen 1974. Honorable Mention 1978.

From AIS Bulletin #214 July 1974 Introducing LAVENDER LIGHT. 38", EE-M. Our earliest bloomer. 4-1/2" lavender (RHS 76B) flowers of graceful pendant form. Excellent branching; 7 buds; very fertile. Morning Magic X Fairy Dawn. $15.00. Currier McEwen.
