1965, Spofford

'Mandy Morse' ( Dorothy Spofford, R. 1962) Seedling MP-00l. SIB, 40" (102 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards medium blue; Falls lighter blue; small white blaze, gold hafts, white styles. Parentage unknown. Cassebeer 1965. Exhibition Certificate 1961; Honorable Mention 1966; Judges Choice 1966, 1967.

From AIS Bulletin #177, April 1965. Introducing MANDY MORSE (Spofford). This fine new one from Dorothy Spofford is predominantly Hyacinth Blue (BCC 40/2) with standards slightly lighter in shade. Falls have a prominent white patch, and contrasting light style arms give the large, showy flower a striking effect. Each $7.50. Cassebeer iris Nursery.
