1976, McEwen

'Outset' ( Currier McEwen, R. 1976). Seedling T472/168Z. SIB (2x28 chrom.), 30" (76 cm), Early bloom and re-bloom. Standards dark violet (RHS 88A to 86A); falls dark violet-blue (89A) with gold-white streaking at upper half; dark violet styles with violet-blue midribs. Seedling T369/13: (('Caesar's Brother' x unknown) x ('Early Bluebird' x 'Summer Sky')) X unknown. McEwen 1976. Honorable Mention 1978.
