Standards medium smoky-purple; style arms dark red-violet; falls smoky soft purple over yellow, darker veins, large yellow signal veined purple. 'Theme and Variation' X seedling# S98-16-2 'Carnivalito' sibling. Joe Pye Weed 2017. Honorable Mention 2021; Award of Merit 2024.

From Joe Pye Weed catalog, 2017: PURRING TIGER - SIBERIAN. Schafer/Sacks (Seedling No. S11-16~3), M, 24". A flower of contrasts - soft purple with bold stripes on giant yellow signals. Mid-purple standards and redder-violet shading in the styles unify the flower. Color holds well. Strong upright plant, five buds on one or two branches. A dramatic clump presentation.Theme And Variation X S08-16-2, sib to Carnivalito. $35.00
