1979, McEwen

'Shirley Pope' (Currier McEwen, R. 1979). Seedling 74/51(23). SIB, 28" (71 cm), Late midseason bloom. Standards red-purple (RHS 86A but more vibrant and darker); falls similar to Standards with velvety texture; white signal. 'Tealwood' X 'Ruffled Velvet'. McEwen 1979. Honorable Mention 1981; Award of Merit 1986.
