1978, Briscoe

'Violet Swirl' (Harley Briscoe, R. 1978). Seedling 70 48E. SIB, 19" (74 cm), Late midseason bloom. Dark Violet with small haft markings. 'White Swirl' x 'Violet Flare'.

From AIS Bulletin #232 Winter 1979 Introducing VIOLET SWIRL (Briscoe '79). Siberian, 74 em., LM. Sdlg. 70 48E. White Swirl X Violet Flare. Violet self with very wide standards and falls. Standards held at 45°. The stylearms are lighter blue. Most attractive. $25.00. Borbeleta Gardens.
