'Acleantha' (
John Kunkel Small, Registered with the American Iris Society, 1931, South Louisiana). Vinicolor; 24" (60 cm); Standards dull grayish-violet, grey flushed above, equally whitish-gray flushed in lower half; claw pale smoky violet flushed; falls reflexed, 8 cm long, the claw lemon yellow veined yellowish-green, the blade dull reddish-violet, crest greenish-yellow, split at apex by brownish-purple vein; Style light reddish-violet, coarsely toothed. Described by Small, J. K. & Alexander, E.J., in "Botanical Interpretations of Iridaceous Plants of the Gulf States" in Contributions to the New York Botanical Garden 337: 325 (1931), New York..
