'Bohemica' (L. Fitz Randolph, Turda, Romania). Collection 61-56A. "Lighter and brighter violet than most other Iris aphylla , some years having a soft bluish cast. Very short, seldom exceeding 13" heavily budded, more than any other Iris aphylla we grow, often having 12-13 buds on a multi-branched stalk, with as many as 6 open at a time."-Adamgrove catalog 1989.

Synonym. Iris bohemica F. W. Schmidt in Fl. Boem. iv. 5. .

Chromosome count: 2n=48 (Wcislo 1964). Iris aphylla var. bohemica.
