'China West Lake' (James Waddick, R. 1996). SPEC ( versicolor ); Height 40" (100 cm); Mid-versicolor season. Standards medium violet, paler at edges; falls medium violet with white rayed pattern over top half; signal yellow; style arms violet with white edges; blossom 2 1/2-4" with 2 or 3 branches with 8 blooms; vigorous growth. An Iris versicolor L. (Received as Iris laevigata from the Hangzhou Botanic Gardens). Joe Pye Weed's Garden 1996. Honorable Mention 1999; Award of Merit 2001; Founders of SIGNA Medal 2004.
