Iris xiphium) Color code B3M; "Standards aconite-violet(937/3), falls Victoria-violet(738/1) with very small and narrow white central blotch with yellow midrib"--KAVB; Krelage 1896; 1913; Grulleman 1907; Barr 1928; Fragrant. Note 1939 checklist declared the cultivar obsolete but the KAVB checklist 1991 still lists it. Also not to be confused with English Iris, Iris latifolia also named 'King of the Blues'
