edgecombii (Shaukat Ali Chaudhary, Bot. Not. 125 (4): 499 (1972)). Larger Flowers, 10-12 cm, "with falls covered with red-purple dots and broken lines on a pale yellow or greenish ground, a maroon purple signal patch and a beard of purple, yellow tipped hairs. The standards are more densely veined maroon on a clear white ground" –The Iris by Brian Mathew. A subspecies of Iris yebrudii
