Section Iris . Height 8" (20 cm); Leaves falcate, widening in the upper part, 12-20 cm. long, to about 2.5 cm. wide. Stem 4-7.5 cm. long, 2-3 flowered. Spathes oblong-lanceolate, somewhat compressed, the lower about 7 cm. long. Flowers pale yellow borne on short pedicels. Falls 4-5.5 cm. long, 1.5-2.8 cm. wide, obovate-cuneate with very distinct claw, pale blue beard. Standards more or less elliptic, 4-6 cm. long to 2.8 cm. wide with a decided claw. Perianth tube 2-2.5 cm. long. Flowering in June from north central Greece; Mount Vourinos, Mount Voras at 300-1100 m.); Babalonas & Papanicolaou in Willdenowia, 14(1): 71 (1984). 2n=24, Babalonas 1984.
