Lloyd Austin. Described as similar to ‘Graeca’ but with shorter leaves and deeper violet flowers.”
The Iris Year Book 1991 p.82. Appears in Rainbow Gardens 1952 catalog as “Decidedly superior to common form; ‘Stems’ longer and foliage lower, so flowers stand out well above it; Blooms much more profusely; A richer, deeper lavender blue. Ideal for rock gardens, low edgings. The showiest of all.”
