Series Unguiculares; Color Code-B7D; By the 1939 registration this cultivar should be a dark blue violet. Described as unscented, pale, sky blue flowers, evergreen leaves; wider leaves may be more suited to higher rainfall, lower temperature climates by Davis & Jury (1990).

Variations
Iris lazica Albov was registered as 'Lazica' a cultivar of Iris Unguicularis in the 1939 checklist but subsequently has been elevated to species rank.
Iris lazica cultivars include; 'Joy Bishop's Form', 'Joy Bishop', 'Lazica', 'Lazica Lavender Blue',
'Lazica Tiberias'
'Lazica'. (Nikolai Mikhailovich Albow, 1895, Lazistan). Ung; B7D; evergreen leaves; unscented, pale, sky blue flowers, wider leaves may be more suited to higher rainfall, lower temperature climates. See Davis & Jury (1990). By the 1939 registration this cultivar should be a dark blue violet. At the time it was considered a variation of Iris unguiculares. This is now considered a separate species Iris lazica Albov; Van Tubergen 1913; synonym Iris unguicularis Poiret var. lazica (Albov) Dykes (1913).
