(SPEC) 'Orientalis Alba'

1932, Chugai

'Orientalis Alba' (Chugai Nursery, 1932). Siberian; Color Code-W; White self. Wada 1937. Iris sanguinea Hornem ex Donn alba.

An example of why it is no longer allowed to use Scientific names as part of cultivar names. This name is grandfathered in before the rules changed, and leave white forms of the species sanguinea in the series sibiricae with a name that suggests the spuria species now called I. orientalis.
