Bee Warburton, R. 1988) Seedling #V-17. Versicolor, 18" (46 cm). Early to late bloom. Standards red purple (RHS 70C), veined slightly darker; pure white styles with red purple (70C) midrib; falls red purple (70C), veined darker (71A), pale yellow (8B) signal changing to white with red purple veining. Unknown parentage-seed from SIGNA. Joe Pye Weed's Garden 1988. Honorable Mention 1993; Award of Merit 1995.

From AIS Bulletin #269 April 1988 Introducing PARTY LINE-Warburton, VERSICOLOR, 18", E-L. A superb garden versicolor! Each bloomstalk is held in the center of the clump. The standards and falls are smooth red-violet with darker veining. The styles are pure white with a narrow line of red-violet at the midrib. The signal is pale yellow changing to white with dark red-purple veining. $25.00. Joe Pye Weed's Garden. |
