R3L; "Flower 5-6 cm mostly dark brown, sometimes varying in color (dark purple, violet, rarely standards much lighter than falls) Falls recurved from middle, oblong ovate, generally uniform in color; signal nearly black; hairs of beard mostly yellow, dark-tipped on a cream ground; Standards obovate-unguiculate, erect-incurved, nearly uniform in color or with darker veins" as described by Feinbrun in
