From Cape Iris Gardens catalog, 1980: AMBER RIPPLES (Niswonger '81) Sp 5-76: Struttin' X Unknown, Spuria, 38" (97 cm), Mid., LB5/0B6. The color is a blend of blue and amber. The standards are blue with amber infusion in the midrib and the amber falls have a light blue rim around them. The blooms will open at one time, nicely spaced, usually about 5 buds to the stalk. The blooms are on the small side and compact. This one should be nice to use in arrangements. $20.00 |
Hybridizer's comment: There are not many ruffles in spurias but this one has some. (19 Jan 2010) |
