From Melrose gardens catalog for 1972: "In color, one of the darkest browns in spurias - a polished, dark stain, walnut wood brown. The signal areas are glowing orange yellow, veined over in brown. Nearly erect standards are very wide and full with especially good color - hints of red here. Falls are perfectly round and crimped all long the edges. Robust plant. HC '71." -- MikeUnser - 17 Oct 2009.
