From Fairmount Gardens catalog, 1958: BLUE CORSAGE No. 55-S2 (Corliss 1956) E. This beautiful Spuria was bred from Lark Song and Two Opals and combines many fine qualities of these two famous iris. The clear, medium blue flowers with large flaring segments have gold signals and radiating lines that blend into the lacy ruffled borders, and over all there is a sparkling sheen. Delightful for corsage work, flower arrangement or garden beauty, it is a handsome early blooming variety with four pair of large six to seven inch flowers well spaced on tall sturdy stalks. 48 in. $25.00. |
