'Fifth Symphony' (Eric Nies, R. 1942). Midseason bloom. Deep yellow, allover delicate brown veining. 'Bronzspur' X Seedling. Chromosomes 2n = 40. Milliken, 1943

From Milliken Gardens catalog, 1945: FIFTH SYMPHONY (Nies). Here we have something exceptional. A golden brown veining is loosely threaded on a background of deep yellow giving an almost orange effect. The falls are frilled and spreading. Very fine. 3 feet. $7.50.
