Happily, spurias are coming out with more varied forms as well as colors, each with an individual appeal, but with this fiower we return to a more classical elegance as well as an innovative feature. The fiower is precisely formed, from the wide, semi-erect standards to the round falls held on the short supporting claws. The color is glistening white with large orange-yellow signals under the neat style crests. But around the edges of both the standards and the falls is a tight, crinkle-ruffling that adds new charms to an established pattern. This spuria iris is named for a good friend and ardent promoter of ail beardless iris. May it do right by her! NET 15.00. |
