1990, Niswonger

'Missouri Rivers' ( O. David Niswonger, R. 1989). Seedling #Sp 3-86. SPU, height 38" (97 cm), Midseason bloom. Ruffled blue, yellow blaze on falls. 'Missouri Streams' X unknown, probably self. Cape Iris 1990. Honorable Mention 1992; Award of Merit 1994; Nies Medal 1998.

From AIS Bulletin #277 April 1990 Introducing MISSOURI RIVERS (Niswonger '90) Sdlg. Sp 3-86: Missouri Streams X unknown, probably a self. Spuria, 38", Mid. A really blue iris with some ruffles and extra wide falls. The smooth yellow blaze in the falls makes an attractive combination. Fertile both ways. $25.00. Cape Iris.
