'Sunrise In Missouri' ( O. David Niswonger, R. 1995). Seedling #Sp 5-88. SPU, height 40" (102 cm). Midseason bloom. Lightly ruffled deep golden yellow self. Seedling #Sp 6-80: ( 'Far Out' x 'Redwood Supreme') X unknown -- probably self. Cape Iris 1995. Honorable Mention 1998; Award of Merit 2000; Nies Medal 2002.

| From AIS Bulletin #297 April 1995 Introducing SUNRISE IN MISSOURI (Niswonger '95) Sp 5-88: Sp6-80: (Far Out x Redwood Supreme) X Unknown (Prob. a self). Spu, 40" 002 cm), M. This golden spuria has the wide blocky form that I like in the modem day spurias. When this seedling was lined out last year with fairly small rhizomes, it bloomed almost 100% right down the row. It's an easy grower, slightly ruffled and fertile both ways. $25.00. Cape Iris. |
