'Sunrise in Sonora' (Floyd Wickenkamp, R. 1993) Seedling #SP-89-7. SPU, 44" (112 cm). Midseason bloom. Dark maroon violet; falls with large bright gold blaze; lightly veined red violet; style arms tipped red violet, bright blue ridge. 'Headway' X seedling #SP-83-2: ('Burnished Brass' x ('Burnished Brass' x 'Proverb')). Shepard Iris 1994. Honorable Mention 1997, Award of Merit 2000.
