Acacia Rose (Sass-Toedt 1928)—Similar in coloring to the rose acacia (not quite so pink), and a general favorite with garden visitors. Medium large flowers with a flush of white on the center of the falls. I am using this with the moss locust or rose acacia under the white honey locust in the yard. Those who wish to duplicate this planting in their own gardens will find the rose acacia listed as Robinia hispida. There are two forms of this. One is a shrub, the other a native of the Carolina woods, is a lower growing species of semi-creeping habit. Iris Acacia Rose, $2.00 each. July 15th delivery. (Springtime Gardens, 1929, p. 6).
