A flower of good substance ; frail to firm texture ; smooth surface; good fragrance. Useful .for mass planting, a cut flower, or landscape · work.S. barta yellow reticulated with red-brown at base; carriage cupped to open, arching ; blade obovate spatulate, notched, undulate, frilled at edge and slightly revolute, smooth; size 1¾ in. wide, 2½ in. long. F. velvety bordeaux. edged with barta yellow, with a median line of barta yellow through the blade, the outer haft yellow reticulated with red-brown, the blade edged or bordered with light yellow; carriage drooping; wedge-shaped, convex; size 1½ in. wide, 2½ in. long. Minor parts: beard fine, sparse, projecting, conspicuous, orange colored; haft broad, channeled ; reticulations medium close to widely spaced; style-branches broad, overarching, yellow; crest large, fringed; pollen plentiful; spathe-valves green, one-third scarious, inflated.
