| From Bay View Gardens catalog,1979: ACT OF LOVE. 36 inches, mid to late season. $25.00. A warm, yet refreshing, very ripe cranberry-raspberry with broad, expansive form. The color is evenly applied with a metallic sheen which adds a rare lustre to this heavy-petalled seductor. It is topped off with a tangerine beard, good branching, and reliable floriferousness. The rhizomes are medium-sized. Advanced generations from this line of breeding, give strong indication that it could well culminate with that elusive red so long sought but never obtained. No. 74-672 (Bicentennialsib X Malaysia).  |
