From AIS Bulletin #153, April 1959. Introducing ADDED ATTRACTION (C. Rees) (Hall's 44-09 x Golden Eagle) X Hall's #22. This flaring, rosy-orchid bloom, which garden visitors tell us is a shade "different" from anything they have seen, has the added attraction of a full coral beard. It is a feminine flower, beautifully poised on a well branched, sturdy Stems, with attractive foliage. It is a good increaser and grower, and it was runner-up for Region 14's gold cup for the best seedling seen at the 1958 regional convention. Height, 48". Mid-season to late. H. C., 1958. $20.00. Rees Iris Garden. |
ADDED ATTRACTION (Rees '59) ML. 48 in. (Hall Sdlg. x G. Eagle) x Hall Sdlg. A beautiful new iris of rich rose orchid with a distinctly golden undertone. The large, flaring and nicely ruffled flowers are highlighted by a full coral beard. H.C. 1958. $6.00. Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog, 1963. |
