ADOBE (Wmsn. No. 981, 1932). (Pedigree Lost). Very free flowering, stems slender, rich soft buff yellow, with reddish combination. Height 32 inches; good branching above mid-height; 6 flowers. Large flowers, 4-1/2 inches high and 5 inches wide. S. arching cupped; broadly obovate; Warm Buff, darkening to more purplish at end; basally Yellow Ocher; claw heavily maroon veined. F. drooping; very broadly wedge shaped; Pompeian Red, shading to yellow margin. Haft; yellow, maroon and red veined. Beard: Cadmium Yellow. Style branches: Light Orange Yellow. A lovely, large well-rounded flower. An unusual blend which suggest the name. Admired by many visitors to our gardens. $15.00. (Longfield, 1932).
