'Agatine' (Robert. Schreiner, R. 1959) Seedling L 580-A. TB, 34" (86 cm). Midseason bloom. Color Class-R3D. Standards copper brown-red; falls mahogany-red. ('Argus Pheasant' x 'Pacemaker') X ('Orelio' x 'Pacemaker'). Schreiner 1959.

From the 1965 Schreiner's catelogue: Derived from (Argus Pheasant X Pacemaker) X a sister seedling. Agatine is supremely smooth, trimly tailored, velvety red. And it is one of the very first reds to bloom.
