'Ahoy' ( Chet Tompkins, R. 1957). TB, 38" (97 cm), Midseason late bloom. Color Class-R1M, Bright carmine-red self. Seedling 50-116 X 'Defiance'. Fleur de Lis 1957.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: AHOY (Temp. '57) M.L. 36 in. (Ustinuf x Defiance). A large flaring, heavily substanced flower of carmine red. Best described as a rosy toned cherry red. Very brilliant and showy. No veins or haft marks. H.C. 1955. 3.50.
