| From Tell’s Iris Garden catalog, 1947: AMITY Mrs. P. E. Corey (Sensation x Los Angeles) x (Wambliska x San Francisco) This might be termed a "fancy" plicata with its white ground, standards and falls brushed with light violet blue. The standards are so closely "washed" with color they appear a self; the falls brushed deeper at the haft. Beard inconspicuous. Should prove a valuable parent for whites, blues and plicatas. Fragrant. Midseason to late. Height 38 inches. $10.00. |
