ANGEL CAKE (M. Framke 1966) M.L. 36 in. (Cameo Coral x Apple Valley) x (Herald Angel x High Note). A majestically huge flower of excellent form with unbelievably broad petals, this is one of the most luscious looking Iris in the garden. In color it ranges from a velvety creamy white over the central part of the falls to a pale shell pink tinted swansdown over the outer edges and on up to a smooth apple blossom pink haft and beard. The standards have the same coloring with an added bit of lipstick pink along their edges and a delicate touch of gilt accents this pink. Its a real beauty that looks good enough to eat. No. 64-165B. Net 30.00. .Fleur De Lis Gardens, Canby, Oregon, Catalog, 1966. |
